I have been attending the NACM Industry Credit Group meetings in Tacoma and Bellevue since July of 2009, and I really enjoyed the meeting yesterday. It was the best meeting I have attended thus far for a couple of reasons; I thought everyone was more open, they shared ideas, we discussed banks, we discussed lien procedures and companies, we discussed different marketing scams, and I felt everyone was really there to help one another.

Construction Industry Services

NACM Washington State Legislative Task Force:

The NACM Construction Industries Legislative Task Force monitors legislation and attends meetings and hearings in Olympia on issues that would affect construction industry suppliers. This past session they defeated legislation introduced by Senator Karen Fraser that would protect the consumer who had to pay twice when a contractor failed to pay their supplier. Senator Fraser’s proposal to solve this problem would be to change or completely eliminate the lien laws.

Please consider participating! Attendance at hearings in Olympia is encouraged but not required. We would love to have your input/feedback on important issues facing your industry!
